Youth / Teen Arts

Fall classes are the perfect time to start your artist in one of our many art classes. Registration is ongoing.
Early Arts ages 3 - 5 The BAC visual arts program for early learners begins with hands–on classes that introduce children to a variety of art materials and art–making methods. Classes are focused on exploration, self–expression and fun. Children develop motor skills and build a firm foundation for continuing arts education. Youth Art ages 7 and up
Visual arts opportunities continue as students age 7+ are challenged to engage in new skills and develop creativity. Students are introduced to artistic techniques such as line, shape, value, proportion and composition; learn to use a variety of media such as pencil, ink, pastels and paint; and encouraged to refine their talents in drawing and painting using realist and abstract subjects. Ceramics
Children dig into the BAC ceramics program by learning the nature of clay through guided play that includes molding and forming. Students continue in classes that teach them hand–building techniques and throwing skills using the potter’s wheel. Students will produce functional pieces such as bowls and vases, as well as sculpture that expresses their artistic dimension. Tuition includes clay, glazes and firing. paint; and encouraged to refine their talents in drawing and painting using realist and abstract subjects.
